Shenzhen, China
Shenzhen has been a Chinese economic miracle.
It is a coastal city north to Hong Kong. It does
not only boasts strong manufacturing
capacity and leading innovation, it represents
China's efforts in the past several decades to
pursue development from scratch. It is China's
first special economic zone, Shenzhen has
emerged as a symbol of the country's reform and
opening-up. It has transformed from a fishing
village to a sprawling industrial and financial
megacity with 13 million people. Here is a short

In 1979 Shenzhen was a small border town of
some 330,000 inhabitants that served as a
customs stop into mainland China from Hong Kong.
It is one of the starting point of the China
economic reform. They were opened to
foreign investment, technology, and managerial
expertise through the establishment of
foreign-owned, joint-venture, and other business
enterprises without the prior approval of the
central government. Nowadays it is the home of
many most important enterprises such as Huawei,
Tencent, BYD,Zhongxing, etc.
