ICT2023 Successfully Held in Shenzhen
See you in Palma de Mallorca, Spain for ICT2024

The 12th International Conference on Tourism and Hospitality between China and Spain has been held from November 3-5, 2023. Over 150 participants and invited guests participated the conference. All the participants spent a very enjoyable time during the conference.
The major themes of this conference are about digital intelligence tourism and service industry: Openness, integration and innovation.

There are 3 keynote speeches, 3 panel sessions and 8 parallel paper presentations and one session of poster paper presentation. Please see our program page for more details.
The conference announced that the ICT2024 will be held at the University of Balearic Islands in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. The dates are October 3-5, 2024. Mark your agenda and save the dates! It will be excited to welcome all the participants at the birthplace of this conference!

ICT2023 Second Call for Papers

The second call for papers of the conference is now open. Please see the deadline for the second call.  Two types of papers and presentations are under call: The academic papers and industrial and administrative presentations.

Original papers about major theme in both tourism and hospitality research and practice are under call. Please refer to our call for paper themes for more details.

ICT2023 will be held in Shenzhen, China

With the success of the 2022 conference, the ICT2023 conference in Shenzhen China Nov. 3-5. Our host will be Jinan University, concretely the Shenzhen Tourism College and the the High-end Health Tourism Research Institute of Jinan University.

Shenzhen has been a Chinese economic miracle. It is a coastal city next to Hong Kong. It does not only boasts strong manufacturing capacity and leading innovation, it represents China's efforts in the past several decades to pursue development from scratch. It is China's first special economic zone, Shenzhen has emerged as a symbol of the country's reform and opening-up. It has transformed from a fishing village to a sprawling industrial and financial mega city. Here is a short introduction about Shenzhen.

Our Conference Host

Our host will be Jinan University, concretely the Shenzhen Tourism College and the the High-end Health Tourism Research Institute of Jinan University.

Jinan University is based in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. It is a national "double first-class" university. It is a member of the national "211 Project", "985 Platform", excellent medical doctor education and training plan, excellent legal talent education and training plan, etc. It is a key research base for humanities and social sciences of the Ministry of Education, a base for teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and a base for Chinese language education for overseas Chinese.

Established in 1993, Shenzhen Tourism College of Jinan University is one of the earliest tourism colleges in China. The college is geared towards preparing students for careers in Tourism Management, Hotel Management and Landscape Architecture. As one of the earliest institutions to award Master of Tourism Management Administration (MTA) degrees in China and the first batch of members the World Tourism Alliance (WTA), the college has acquired the World Tourism Organization TedQual Certification. Rated No.4 in mainland China in the “Hospitality & Tourism Management” category.

The High-end Health Tourism Research Institute of Jinan University was established in 2021 under the context of the Healthy China Initiative launched by the State Council, with Jinan University as the only cooperation representative of universities. In accordance with the overall requirements of “national strategy, Shenzhen urgency, world-class standard, advanced system, and significant contributions”, the institute is dedicated to making advantage of the high-end think tank and creating a research and education platform for health tourism integrating five roles of “government, industry, academia, research, application”.

ICT2023 Proceedings book will be Published by Springer Nature

All the accepted papers can be presented in the conference. Authors can submit full English version of the paper in order to be considered to publish in our proceedings book published by Springer Nature after the conference.
The proceedings and each individual papers have been indexed by ISI Web of Knowledge (CPCI-SSH—Conference Proceedings CitationIndex - Social Science & Humanities). The proceedings of 2023 will also be indexed.

SSCI Journal Publication Opportunities

The best papers of this conference will be recommended to the Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Technology (SSCI, Q2) via special evaluation and acceptance channel for publication.
The conference has also received the support from other journals such as Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Management(SSCI, Q1)， Tourism Review（SSCI, Q1）, Journal of Quality Assurance in Hospitality & Tourism. The best papers will have the opportunity to be published in these journals.
